Lifespace Communities is pleased to announce Tim Gorman as the new general counsel effective July 5, 2022. Gorman will provide overall leadership, vision, and direction of the legal function including governance, regulatory, risk and liability, and transactional matters.

Gorman, who is also a certified public accountant, has extensive experience in providing legal and strategic advice for issues including mergers and acquisitions, employment, corporate, health law and governance. Most recently, he served as senior attorney for Ascension, providing general counsel support for its senior living division, Ascension Living. Prior to that, he was a partner in the Business, Healthcare and Corporate Law division of Lowenbaum Law, and an Associate at Dentons US LLP.

“We’re excited to have Tim join us as general counsel as he will play a critical role in leading Lifespace’s strategic and tactical legal initiatives to support the needs of the organization,” said Jesse Jantzen, president and CEO of Lifespace Communities. “Tim is a strong problem solver, trusted advisor, and possesses a unique ability to help organizations navigate challenging situations, bringing calm to the chaos. I’m thrilled to be working with him once more.”

“Like so many others, working in senior living strikes a personal chord for me,” said Gorman. “I’m excited to work shoulder-to-shoulder with Lifespace’s senior team and communities. The organization is poised to transform the aging experience and it will be an honor to be a part of helping Lifespace achieve that vision.”

Gorman earned his bachelor of science degree in business and accounting from Eastern Illinois University and his Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law.
