Nick Harshfield, Lifespace Communities CFO, Named Top Financial Officer

Lifespace Communities’ Chief Financial Officer Nicholas “Nick” Harshfield was named as a Top 50 CEO by the OnCon Icon Awards at a virtual ceremony on May 24.

Harshfield joined Lifespace Communities two years ago, and has more than 30 years of financial experience, 15 years of which are in senior living. He focuses on developing and implementing strategic plans, integrating technology systems, securing financing for critical development projects and providing recommendations for acquisitions, divestitures and new business lines.

OnCon accepted applications and nominations for the 2022 CFO award, and the finalists were selected by the organization. Finalists were then voted on by peers to determine the winners.

The considerations for the winners include determining how they:

– Made a considerable impact on their organization and/or previous organizations
– Made strong contributions to their professional community through thought leadership
– Innovate in their role/career
– Exhibit exceptional leadership

“Over the past two years, Nick brought fiscal responsibility and entrepreneurial thinking to Lifespace Communities,” said Jesse Jantzen, president and CEO of Lifespace Communities. “Nick is helping our non-profit continue to create stability that supports extraordinary communities for our residents, and a fulfilling culture for our team members.”
