Swapna Tavtum Joins Lifespace Communities As Vice President, Data and Analytics

Lifespace Communities announced that Swapna Tavtum joined the senior living organization as vice president, data and analytics on October 2. Tavtum will oversee all data and analytics, leading the organization in harnessing and serving up data as business intelligence to support Lifespace in making informed decisions, improve operations, achieve strategic objectives, and find revenue-generating opportunities.

“Business intelligence and data analytics are key components of innovating Lifespace’s business strategy, helping us make more informed decisions in both the short term and long term,” said Nick Harshfield, chief financial officer at Lifespace Communities. “Swapna has a proven track record of improving business processes and an organization’s competitiveness through data analytics and business intelligence. Her ability to demonstrate how we can use business intelligence and advanced analytics to improve upon our current processes to continue to provide best-in-class services is impressive.” 

Tavtum has over 17 years of experience successfully leading digital transformations that improve operations and grow revenue through advanced analytics strategies. She has led large digital transformation projects for organizations like Starbucks, PVH, Southeastern Grocers, and Rent-A-Center and held leadership roles at Infosys Limited and The Hackett Group.

“In my role, I am dedicated to shaping and implementing technology strategy that optimizes decision making, fosters business expansion, and enhances our competitive edge through effective utilization of data and innovation,” said Tavtum. “I am excited about using data and analytics to have a meaningful impact on residents and team members. It’s rewarding to do work that brings value to Lifespace and the people it serves.”

Tavtum earned her Executive Master of Science in Technology Management from Columbia University and her Bachelor of Engineering (Electronics and Communication) from the University of Chennai, India. She will work in the Cypress Waters office in Dallas.
