In the wake of the tragedy at an Orlando nightclub, Susan Singer, Director of Social Work at Village on the Green, has been doing what she can to provide support and comfort to those impacted by the event. Singer, a licensed mental health counselor, has been providing counseling services to surviving victims, friends of victims, and those in the Orlando community dealing with feelings of fear and anxiety.
“The atmosphere is one of deep sadness, but also of love and community,” Susan says. “Everyone is dealing with this in their own way, and mine has been through providing counseling.”
Susan says Orlando has seen an outpouring of support following the tragedy, and there are a lot of good people doing what they can to help others.
Caring about the community and giving back are important values at Village on the Green, and Susan is one shining example of that commitment to the surrounding area.
