Claridge Court retirement community in Prairie Village celebrated 20 years in business on Wednesday, April 29. Residents, staff and the community were all welcomed to attend the event. It kicked off with Kansas City’s former mayor Kay Barnes and former Prairie Village mayor and current Claridge Court resident, Roe Taliaferro speaking about the changes they’ve seen over the last 20 years.
That was followed by the unveiling of a time capsule that was buried on the date of the groundbreaking. Inside were the predictions from the very first residents of what life would be like today. A special photo exhibit was also on display for the community to see.
