Hurricane Dorian Update [September 4, 1:00 p.m. ET]

With Delray Beach now in the clear from Hurricane Dorian’s path, we’ve returned to normal operations at our community. Transportation, housekeeping, maintenance, concierge front desk and the health center are back to their regular schedules. Our culinary service will begin normal operations with today’s lunch service. Given the storm’s interference with our regular activities, our monthly calendar will be updated and revised accordingly. We anticipate this will be our final storm-related update. Thank you for your patience and support during this period.

 

Hurricane Dorian Update [September 3, 1:15 p.m. ET]

We continue to closely monitor the path of Hurricane Dorian and are sheltering residents and team members in place. Lunch and dinner will be delivered to resident apartments today. We anticipate regular dining services to resume on Wednesday. We have modified our activity schedule until further notice. However, there will be activities provided by our team members while our residents shelter in place.

 

Hurricane Dorian Update [September 2, 12:15 p.m. ET]

We continue to closely monitor the path of Hurricane Dorian. Our campus-wide storm preparations are complete. The plan is to shelter residents and team members in place. We conducted a food delivery last night, and food and beverage supplies will be distributed tomorrow as necessary, however regular dining services are suspended until further notice. We have modified our activity schedule through Tuesday. There will be activities provided by our team members while our residents shelter in place.

We continue to closely monitor the path of Hurricane Dorian and complete our campus-wide preparations. For now, the plan is to shelter residents and team members in place. We will continue to watch the storm and update plans accordingly. We remain under normal operations, including normal dining services, and will continue to do our best to sustain normal operations as conditions permit. We have modified our activity schedule through Tuesday.

We will continue to watch the storm and update plans accordingly. We remain under normal operations, including normal dining services, and will continue to do our best to sustain normal operations as conditions permit. As Hurricane Dorian approaches the Florida coast, we are taking appropriate precautions and working with local authorities to ensure the safety and well-being of our residents and team members.

We will be sharing regular updates on our website throughout the duration of the storm to keep you informed on the latest news from our community.

Residents and family members are invited to call the Lifespace hurricane hotline at 866-705-2273 to obtain storm-related information 24 hours a day. This line will provide the latest update on the storm situation at Abbey Delray. We will strive to respond to all voicemails we receive in a timely manner.
