A Look Ahead to 2019
Embracing a New Vision for our Future
By Sloan Bentley, President and CEO
At Lifespace, we’re fully committed to resident and team member engagement. Every few years, we revisit our strategic plan to ensure our goals align with their current needs and our vision for growth. Accordingly, 2019 marks the beginning of a revamped three-year vision for our organization as we launch a new strategic plan. While we’re happy with the strides we’ve made to support successful aging in recent years, this plan builds on those efforts by serving as a blueprint to advance the Lifespace community experience.
Copies of the updated plan will be delivered to each Lifespace community in January. Respective executive directors will notify residents and team members once they are available on our campuses. While the plan is new, our focus remains constant and our work continues to be guided by our core principles, values and mission:
- Evolve or expand our communities.
- Engage residents and team members.
- Create communities that celebrate the lives of seniors.
We’ve also made some significant changes to some of our existing goals. Most notably, we’ve separated our Be a Great Place to Live and Work strategic pillar into two – Be a Great Place to Live and Be a Great Place to Work. Be a Great Place to Live attests to our commitment to promote each resident’s independence while providing support when needed. Be a Great Place to Work embodies our dedication to empowering team members. These two pillars are equally important, and shine a greater light on the people we work so diligently and passionately to serve.
We continually evaluate our goals and adjust course whenever necessary to ensure we remain successful. A key measure of this success is our ability to offer outstanding services, amenities, accommodations, and hospitality now and well into the future. The Lifespace mission is the foundation of everything we do, and we’re energized and excited about this next phase of our journey. We hope you have a wonderful holiday season and we can’t wait to share the full plan in early 2019.
